My name is Fatima Iqbal Riaz,. I'm a kidney transplant patient , who got her renal failure 7 yrs ago . My journey started fighting to be fit according to social criteria of getting married. I was a healthy or bit overweight throughout my teenage years and being bullied around. I didn't knew that this would make my life ugly and shaggy. Obesity became the curse of my life and at age of 20 I decided to get rid of it . I never thought that , getting rid of it would take my life too .Due to slimmer medicine and street doctors/ homeopaths/ local treatments I lost my kidneys. I was admitted to the hospital and remained in the ICU for days , all minerals were nill my HB was 4 , later I was diagnosed with renal failure. Fighting to be fit socially took everything from me . At that time I felt to commit suicide but then some powers didn't let that happen. After recovering from that trauma I started a new fight , fight to spread awareness about kidney health and disease prevention. A fight to save others having dame situation. Now I run a patient association working specifically for kidney patients. This is my life line , for which I'm living and fighting to be fit & healthier not to be fit socially.
